What is the Safe and Sound Protocol?
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a therapeutic listening training program. It uses filtered and coded music, to help people who have experienced trauma or chronic stress feel safer and relaxed in their bodies. The protocol is based on years of research by Dr. Stephen Porges and is based on his Polyvagal theory.
How does the SSP work?
You listen to a total of 5 hours of filtered and processed music, according to a customized listening schedule. You use over-the-ear headphones without noise-cancelling for this.
You can listen to the Safe and Sound Protocol comfortably at home via Unyte's app. And we guide you remotely.
You get 12 months of access to the app and the SSP, so
you have all the time you need to go through the program and the different versions several times.

You are less likely to be triggered, by people and situations. You are less likely to be turned on, and you can relax better. You can feel safe again, when there is no reason for insecurity.
It becomes easier to look at your emotions with distance and therefore make a different choice. This creates a difference between reacting and responding. You do the former from an emotion and the latter from your consciousness.
